Katherine Heigl discusses the ways that growing up in a 'white bubble' has impacted the way that she raised her adoptive family of multiracial origins. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said recent interview that, in terms of skin color, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her sister, who was adopted from South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats them. I wanted to know Meg if, when going out with her parents she received a certain treatment and when out alone, she received a different one. Meg replied "Oh yes! All the time!" Heigl revealed to Parents that it made her realize just the extent of her ignorance. She confessed that she was angry and felt the need to use this anger to support her children. The couple, who are married to Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been together for thirteen years. They adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) with a black complexion in 2009.
