Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to achieve a score of 10 in a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi was a Romanian gymnastics instructor, who was later Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci aged six. In 1969, she participated at the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. She won in 1970. At her first international event in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior competition for communist-bloc nations she took home three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she became an the all-around junior champion. Her debut as a Senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champion who won four golds and one argent. The first female ever to successfully perform the backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment business began during her teens, when she began performing as a figure skater along with her twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in the entertainment business as a teenager. She began her professional career by performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment show Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of skating on ice with actors.
