Gerina Stevenson, who is the Mexican daughter of Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson was born in Mexico. Her parents are Mexican and American. From the time she was little she's always been interested in participating in sport. Gerina began to play golf when she was fifteen. Gerina attended Goddard High School. She won the New Mexico State Golf Tournament in her high school years. In addition to playing volleyball, she also competed at a state-level. She attended an institution called the University of Texas in 2003. She won all of the competitions she participated in during her final years. During her college career she was awarded the Conference USA Player of The Year Award as well as the UTEP Female Sports Athlete Award.
