Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts is the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus, and Walter Grady Roberts. She was born on October 28th, 1967. She was born in Atlanta. Her grandfather, her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer who was also the first Roberts to arrive in Atlanta. Her father was a young man when he became interested in theater. As a student at Emory University in 1952 he performed in shows on campus as well as elsewhere in Atlanta. He joined the air force in 1953. While working in Biloxi Mississippi, was a part of an army production that featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was an air force member as well. The couple got married in 1955 and the couple's first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter was studying at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In the year 1957, they left the airforce and Walter began studying at Tulane. Walter worked with Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1960, the family relocated in Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show specifically for children named Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. The show was a success and they were paid. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted about six years. During this time they were blessed with two additional children Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in 1965, and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
