Richard B. Cheney a prominent public servant and a businessman is vice-president of the United States. Cheney was a well-known name in Washington over the years. George W. Bush was the president of the 4th generation to which he was a part of. Bush announced the nomination of Cheney for his vice presidential run-off partner in July the year 2000. Bush cited Cheney's wisdom, judgment, and experience. Dick Cheney was a chief of staff for presidents. He was a member of the United States Congress as Secretary of Defense, and served his country in many roles. Both Republicans as well as Democrats admire him for his integrity. Cheney claims he's a discreet but honest advisor to Bush during his presidency. Cheney declared his delight at accepting the Republican vice-presidential nominee. Cheney said Cheney is eager to work alongside a president who will collaborate with those who have different political views and with shared objectives. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska. As a 13-year-old, Richard Bruce moved with his parents from Nebraska to Casper (in Wyoming, the State of Wyoming) which is where his father served as Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's soil conservation district.
